      This is a great base for a lot of sauces, not just bechamel! You could add some garlic, a bit of wine or any herb. I used freshly ground salt and pepper and fresh nutmeg. This sauce was tasty over some sauteed mushrooms. I did substitute butter for the margarine but made as directed. Made for Almost 5 tag game. Thanks Noo! :)

      This is the kind of cheating I like! I made this for a seafood pasta sauce and it turned out beautifully. I did add some cheese. Thanks for posting!

      This worked out great!!! I don't know of Sunflower butter, so used regular and also used 2% milk, what I had on hand. But otherwise followed as written for a scaled down amount. I was making this for a homemade macaroni and cheese, so in the end, I added shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce and it was great. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for 123 Tag Game.

      Perfect - you get exactly what you're promised! Quick and easy (and I think it's perfectly acceptable to cheat!) and not too bad taste-wise! Used for a lasagne.
