Special Ham Sandwiches

"This is an old family receipe often prepared after holidays when a ham was served. I always have to have a spoonful while it's cold because I can't wait to have some. It's easy to double. I usually add extra olives...yummy!! Two sandwiches considered a serving. Great with potato chips. Refrigerate mix up to 3-4 days."

  1. I had ham leftover from Christmas so I thought this recipe might be a great way to use some of it up, and boy was it! My husband and I LOVED it! I didn't add olives because I have this thing about the smell green olives give off when they are cooked, but I followed the rest of the recipe and it was so delicious! This will definitely be our day after Christmas dinner from now on! Thanks!

I am a Graphic Designer and work for a county educational service center. I have two young children, work full time, am a Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout leader, and serve on my children's school's parent board. I look for recipes that do not require a long prep. time but are nutritional and taste good. My favorite cookbooks are the Pillsbury monthly cookbooks at the grocery's check-out (and available by subscription). There is a picture of every recipe and each month usually has a different theme (e.g., crockpot cooking, holidays, grilling, etc.) I'm passionate about being the best Mom to my kids that I possibly can. One of my pet peeves is when people eat with their mouth open and smack their lips. If I had a month off work, no responsibilities - and unlimited funds - I'd spend my time with my family on once-in-a-lifetime trips for three weeks, take one week to be totally by myself and read, swim, see movies, eat out, and while away for the month, have my home remodeled to my specifications and cleaned from top to bottom.
