A good change to the tomatoes and okra your mother used to make.
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups sliced okra
- 1 cup chopped tomato
- 1 cup tomato juice
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- hot cooked rice
- Brown the ground chuck and onion in a large skillet, stirring until meat crumbles and is nolonger pink; drain.
- Add okra and cook 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Add tomato and next 3 ingredients, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until okra is tender.
- Serve over rice.
