Really delicious salad. I used Raspberry Vinaigrette, omitted the mushrooms, and added sugar coated pecans and craisins. Totally devine!
This is really scrumptious! The flavor doesn't really translate as sweet the may oranges and mushrooms can in a spinach salad. Instead, it has an exotic and savory flavor that oranges don't usually find, but it really works here. We definitely will make this again, with Spanish food, as well as Moroccan food, (which I think would pair with this as well). Made for the Saucy Senorita's ZWT5.
I LOVED this salad. It is colorful, has a nice variety of ingredients, and tastes good. It would be an excellent choice for a summer potluck. I used a favorite purchased sweet onion vinaigrette and we both raved. This will be a repeat!
Loved, loved, loved this yummy salad. I made exactly as written with the exception of omitting the mushrooms. The saltiness of the Spanish olives, the sweetness of the navel orange and the savory flavor of the chives worked wonderfully with each other. I used a Sweet Vinegar and Olive Oil Vinaigrette which went perfectly with this salad. I served the salad alongside a faux Kangaroo Burger (#170743). Excellent combination of flavors. Made this with Dicentra's Orange Balsamic Dressing and it was delicious. Also good with black olives and blue cheese. Thanks, Sage!
This was a great salad to go with my Tapas meal. I loved the saltyness of the olives and the sweetness of the orange with the texture of the mushrooms contrasting with the crunchy peppers, cucumbers and onion it was gorgeous! I used a classic simple vinaigrette so as not to spoil the flavours! Thank you Sage!
This salad was the hit of the whole meal. We had 5 for a family dinner, and everyone was looking at all the veggies, olives and oranges in the salad and cautiously tried a little bite. We all loved it. Very refreshing. This is going in my favorite cookbook. Thanks Sage.
