Why didn't I think of this? Delicious and incredibly easy and fast to make. I used homemade bread for the toast. Thanks for posting!

Just simply delicious. I remembered seeing this recipe a few days ago and tonight I thought I would have it after work, quick and easy. All I remembered about the recipe was bread, cheese and sliced olives. I basically made a grill cheese sandwich with sliced olives, and didn't remember the garlic. Well I was glad I tried this and, one who can make a meal of eating olives out of a jar, am glad I tried this. Next time I will make as recipe is stated, open faced. Thanks for posting Dreamer in Ontario

It doesn't get any more simple than this! Lovely lunch and quick as a wink. Made for photo tag. Thanks for a mighty tasty cheese sandwich.

You know, sometimes you find that the simplest things are among the best. This sandwich is in that group. You just can't get much more basic but the flavor that it delivers is way up the scale. I used a reduced fat cheese which still had enough fat in it to melt nicely and Spanish green olives on multigrain bread. Yummy.

This was such a wonderful sandwich! Different than any other grilled cheese I've ever had but so good. Made for ZWT8.

I tried what someone else suggested and actually made this into a regular sandwich. The saltiness of the olives, the creaminess of the cheese... I could see adding a tomato slice to this as well. Could switch up the cheese and type of olive, and go a whole different direction - just lends itself to so many possibilities.

I love green olives, I'm not sure if it was the heated olives or the combination of olives and garlic powder, but I wasn't wild over this. Maybe I'll try it cold next time and see if I like it better. Made for ZWT8 visit to Spain.

I loved this easy to make sandwich. The green olives really made it special. I used rye bread. Thanks for sharing. Made for ZWT 8-Spain/Portugal.

This was a good lite sandwich to have for a late breakfast. I liked the garlic powder on it, it seemed to take away some of the saltiness of the olives. Will make again, I LOVE green olives but the rest of the family doesn't so we always have a half of a jar in the fridge! Made for Almost 5 Tag.
