An old fashioned diner type pie. Lower fat due to no egg yolks, but still so delicious! Recipe found on another website.

I didn't have a shell but I made it anyway and it was like a custard. I topped it with fresh raspberries rolled in sugar that I let sit for 10 minutes. Then put a couple tablespoons on the "pie". Everyone loved it. It took about 15 minutes to make. I broke into it before I thought of taking a picture. But it was very pretty.

  1. Combine milk, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a saucepan and cook until thick.
  2. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and 1 t vanilla.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Pour into baked pie shell.
  5. Place sliced bananas on top, then finish off with cool whip topping or whipped cream.
