  • Pour green beans into a 2 quart pot with juice on low-medium heat.
  • Cube Spam into 1/2 inch chunks.
  • Add Spam to green beans, cover.
  • While Spam & Green beans are cooking, make the cheese rue sauce:

  • Slowly melt butter in a small saucepan.
  • While butter is melting, mix 1/4 cup milk with cornstarch, dissolve.
  • Add 3/4 cup milk to butter, stir and keep on medium heat.
  • Once butter and milk has a slow bubble, slowly stir in cornstarch/milk mix.
  • Stir/whisk frequently for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cheddar cheese in small amounts.
  • Sauce should be thick, not runny. If the sauce is runny, add more cheese.
  • LAYER: Rice on bottom, then green beans/spam mixture, then cheese sauce in bowl. Sprinkle with a little black pepper.
