    Cheese Rue Sauce

    Directions:

      Pour green beans into a 2 quart pot with juice on low-medium heat.

      Cube Spam into 1/2 inch chunks.

      Add Spam to green beans, cover.

      While Spam & Green beans are cooking, make the cheese rue sauce:.

      Slowly melt butter in a small saucepan.

      While butter is melting, mix 1/4 cup milk with cornstarch, dissolve.

      Add 3/4 cup milk to butter, stir and keep on medium heat.

      Once butter and milk has a slow bubble, slowly stir in cornstarch/milk mix.

      Stir/whisk frequently for 2-3 minutes.

      Add cheddar cheese in small amounts.

      Sauce should be thick, not runny. If the sauce is runny, add more cheese.

      LAYER: Rice on bottom, then green beans/spam mixture, then cheese sauce in bowl. Sprinkle with a little black pepper.
