      too salty for my taste. and while I don't mind eating spam when I'm using up my tornado shelter rations every 4 years, I'm not overly impressed with it as a meat to base a dish around.

      Well, I was concerned about the spam at first, but as I was dishing up my plate, and seeing the kids quiet, I saw them EATING AWAY. A nice easy tasty dinner. So much for my picky eaters. Real cheesy too. I also added a dash of garlic powder. Made for Zaar Stars. Thanks for the recipe . In my keeper file it goes.

      Easy to prep. Used about a cup of pre-shredded cheese. Husband went back for seconds, and my picky-eater 5 yr old is devouring his share like nobody's business. I added some powdered garlic and paprika. Yeah, I'll be making this again.

      I have made this recipe for probably 20 years, I have got to the point that I just cook it on top of the stove. I also add 1 can of peas and sometimes use cream of celery soup, depending on what I have on hand. The recipe that I have is called Homemaker's Holiday Casserole. My recipe says it can be made a day or two(I can't remember exactly how long)ahead of time and refigerated until ready to use. I imagine if I wanted it to be fancier I would probably bake it according to directions. But I'm getting to be a crankyold grandma and invent my own methods.lol

      TY Shelby for a great idea or I should say another use for Spam. I usually just slice it up for frying, or grate it and mix it with a jar of cheeze=whiz to broil openface on hamburg buns. This is another fantastic idea. I only omitted the onion flakes for the family's preference. Also, used cubed velveeta cheese instead of American. I followed a previous reviewers advice and sprinkled a bit of shredded cheddar on top the last 10 minutes of baking. Mine took less than an hour of baking time. I whipped this together in the a.m. and when I got home from work...popped it in the oven. Love these types of meals. I'm glad I tagged and made for I Recommend!~

      We loved this. I needed it to cook while we were out, so I put it in the crockpot for 2 1/2 hours on low instead of baking it. It turned out great!

      This was soooooo yummy. DH was worried but he loved it too. I used a whole 1lb box of macaroni but didn't change the soup amount. I may have added a bit more milk tho. I didn't read the recipe well so I didn't have the American cheese. I added more cheddar and it was fine. I also added a bit of ground mustard since I like that addition my mac and cheese. I like the use of onion flakes, saved time and tasted great without the bits of onion for the kids to complain about. I topped it with a tube of crunched up ritz crackers at the end. It was wonderful and everyone said they would like to have it again. Thanks for posting.

      I knew that we would enjoy this. It is very similar to the way I cooked Spam when we were poor. Oops, I mean income challenged. I cooked this in a 2-quart casserole dish. I used large macaroni and milk. This made enough for 5 servings so we get leftovers for lunch. Thanks for posting.

      This was very easy to make. With the long baking time you had plenty of time to clean up what little mess you made. I saved some of the cheddar cheese to put on top of the dish during the last 15 minutes of baking. Made for *Zaar Tag* game 2008
