This sauce may also be used over chicken but as written is a good vegan/vegetarian recipe
- 1⁄2 cup tahini
- 3⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 dash tamari
- nutritional yeast, to taste
- Mince garlic.
- Add Tahini, Garlic, Lemon Juice and water.
- Mix well (in a blender or food processor).
- Cook pasta.
- Add tahini sauce to pasta and garnish with nutritional yeast.
I didn't mind this but there were others who were definitely not impressed with this meal. Be generous with the lemon juice as it counteracts any bitterness coming from the tahini [I use the unhulled version].
Very easy and quite tasty. I tried it as an alternative to Spaghetti with Tahini Sauce and was pleasantly surprised. Next time I'll cut back on the lemon, and continue with an added dash of sea salt. I used whole wheat penne, which I'll probably use again, too.
