  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Split the squash in half from top to bottom and remove seeds with a spoon.
  • Line an oven tray with aluminum foil.
  • Brush spaghetti squash flesh with olive oil.
  • Place flesh side down and roast for 30 to 35 minutes (depends on size of squash). until some edges of the exposed flesh will be brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool.
  • Meanwhile heat the marinara sauce in a large saute pan.
  • Using a large kitchen spoon scrape the strands of squash from the inside of the skin.
  • Add sauce, garlic salt, pepper, parmesan cheese or other accompaniment.
