- 1 spaghetti squash
- 1⁄2 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce (reco ( Barilla)
- garlic salt, to taste
directions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Split the squash in half from top to bottom and remove seeds with a spoon.
- Line an oven tray with aluminum foil.
- Brush spaghetti squash flesh with olive oil.
- Place flesh side down and roast for 30 to 35 minutes (depends on size of squash). until some edges of the exposed flesh will be brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool.
- Meanwhile heat the marinara sauce in a large saute pan.
- Using a large kitchen spoon scrape the strands of squash from the inside of the skin.
- Add sauce, garlic salt, pepper, parmesan cheese or other accompaniment.
