Spaghetti Rolls

"When I found this in an old cookbook, I thought of it as a very novel idea! It's got everything we know and love as spaghetti, only it's in a different form. Try this as a fun diversion of an old standby. :)"

  1. Definitely glad that I tried this recipe. We’re a cheese loving family, so I added more mozzarella to the beef mixture, as well as some hot pepper flakes (we also love spice). In addition, we added more mozzarella on top of the sauce to give it more of a lasagna feel… overall - WONDERFUL. We have taken this dish to a dinner party, and it was a hit. Thanks!

  2. This dish was a good substitute for regular spaghetti. I made this with large shells instead of manicotti. I also added 2 tbsp of sour cream & 2 tbsp of parmesan cheese to the beef mixture & used Italian cheese mix. Thanks for the recipe...

  3. This was really good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written other then I used 2 cups of mozzarella cheese as we like things cheesy. I am going to add this to my OAMC plan. Thanks for a great meal.

I am... ~a mother of 2 kids (19 and 22) who are extremely picky eaters. The mere mention of "healthy" sends them running in the opposite direction. They prefer the creamy, cheesy, fried stuff that they weren't brought up on! ~a wife of a wonderful man who fights an expanding waistline and will lovingly eat most anything I set before him. Everything is 5 stars to him. :) He's the easiest customer a cook could ask for! ~a teacher who tends to reach for comfort foods to relieve stress. I am a middle school reading specialist. The miracles I see on a daily basis keeps me going! But it's also stressful, so keep me away from the cookie jar! I really have to fight off the sugary, fat-laden stuff that has no worth beyond the momentary comfort in my mouth. ~and I'm also a daughter who was brought up on home cooked meals back when calories meant nothing and taste was everything! That is an idea built into my system that's hard to shake! My mother raised 8 kids (I'm #7) on her home-cooking and I always teased her that she didn't raise a single skinny kid! I luckily inherited her great love of cooking and baking. (I miss you Mom!) ~finally, I'm "mom" to the best Bichon in the world. He is Quincy, our kid in a dogsuit.
