Easy weeknight meal. Nothing fancy, but good. I ued cottage cheese instead of ricotta (we aren't fans of ricotta) and it worked fine. Next time, I will add some garlic and some salt. Thanks.
We loved this! And it has the added bonus of being extremely versatile - it can be as basic or frou-frou as you like, depending on the variations you decide to go with. The only change I made last night was adding a layer of sauteed mushrooms on top of the sauce. We'll definitely make this again.

I made this for dh tonight... We really enjoyed it with a few changes. I used a little less spaghetti, and upped the sauce to 1 1/2 to 2 cups. Added some fresh herbs, garlic, onion, and mushrooms to the sauce as well. Easy, and tasty too. The crust seemed a bit too thick, so next time I will use even less, and go down to 1 egg. Thanks so much for sharing!
This was last night's supper and it was a big hit! I used some left over turkey bolognese sauce and added some sauteed mushrooms to the ricotta cheese. Loved the texture of the spaghetti "crust"! Served it on a little pool of sauce on the plate. Next time, I think I'll add some fried and crumbled sweet sausage and maybe some roasted red pepper. There was only one piece left and I had sorta planned on it for my lunch today---instead DH took it in his lunch pail to work! Thank You for posting such a great, quick, easy and totally yummy recipe!
