I make this often. Have not actually tried this exact recipe. Wouldn't follow your amounts anyway since I never do. I have made this with whole canned tomatoes as well but its perfect with fresh tomatoes from the garden. I always peel them first, using your boiling meathod. I always make an X in the skin at the bottom end of the tomatoes b4 putting them in the pot. I read it someplace and just always do it that way. Don't know if it matters or not. I usually add fresh chopped garlic to mine too and fresh chopped oregano. I LOVE oregano, especially fresh. Can't wait for summer! Great post, thanks. Updated the review because I said "tho" so many times I annoyed myself :-)
