From Outpost Natural Foods. I never thought of using maple syrup to flavor a smoothie and it tastes great.
- 8 ounces orange juice
- 1 tablespoon powdered soy protein concentrate
- 1 ripe banana
- 5 frozen strawberries
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Combine in blender and process until creamy and smooth.
Suprise me...I really enjoyed this smoothie! It helps when you get a really good protein powder that does not turn you off with the smell. I found one in Ultimate Fibrelean by Brad King. I froze the bananas when they are really ripe and cut them into quarters (works like an ice cube). It is tangy, thick and creamy that you need a spoon to eat it! A wonderful change from a yogurt base!!! Thanks for the posting
This was really yummy, creamy even without any yoghurt added. I enjoyed this, shame my DD didn't agree though.
