This is a recipe from the side of a Trader Joe's Eggroll box, which I edited for taste of course. It is exactly what I have been searching for, so I just had to post it here!
- 1⁄4 cup light soy sauce
- 3⁄4 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon green onion (thinly sliced)
- Whisk all ingredients together. Top with green onion slices as a garnish.
Fast and easy recipe. I replaced the sugar with 2 tsp honey. Gave me just what I was looking for in a dipping sauce.
Easy to make and went perfectly with our potstickers. Like others, I doubled the sugar. I didn't have seasoned rice vinegar so just used plain.
This was amazing! I replaced the sugar with agave, the garlic with garlic powder, and the red pepper flakes and green onions with a dash of Schezuan Sauce. Divine. Best dipping sauce ever.
