Southwestern Chicken Soup

"Wanted soup and wanted southwestern flavors - DH loved it"

• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth
• 1 lb chicken breast
• 1 (4 ounce) can diced chilies
• 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beans, pinto or (14 1/2 ounce) can great northern beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1⁄4 cup dried onion
• 1 cup frozen corn
• sour cream (optional)

directions

1. combine all ingredients in crock pot except corn and sour cream.
2. add corn after 4 hours if cooking on high or after 7 hours if cooking on low.
3. cook total 5 hours high or 8 hours low.
4. remove chicken, shred and return to crock pot.
5. serve and add tablespoon of sour cream to serving (optional).
