This was quick and easy to make. I added a bit of chili powder to the cornbread mixture for a little more flavor to the crust. I also used shredded Mexican blend cheese instead of colby-jack. This was rather good. Made as the recipe states, it was greatly enjoyed by myself, my hubby and our two children, ages 9 & 5. Plus, it is one of those basic recipes that can be easily altered to suit an individual's taste. Good one to keep on hand.
This is a wonderfully easy to make crust that has great texture. I didn't have any milk so I used water, and it was still great to work with. In place of the beef I used refried beans. The whole family really liked this recipe. I only made one change...added 2 tbsp of taco seasoning mix to the hamburger mixture as I thought it needed more taco flavour. I had a bit of trouble rolling the dough, but I finally got it to cover the pie pan. I will definitely make this again, thanks!

We made this for dinner and it was super easy and quick. I feel like the crust was a little bland. We talked about it and think that a little cumin and red pepper added to the crust mixture would give it a true southwest flavor. Maybe even a little garlic in the meat mixture when it is cooked. We will make again with the additions. Thanks for the recipe
