I have to admit I wasnt sure how the tea would taste.... But it is great!! I did add a bit more sugar though, but i have a sweet tooth! I also only had small tea bags instead of family sized, so i used 6 or 7 small bags. --> This is the simplest tea ever though. Cool and ready to drink immediatly too. Thanks so much for posting. I will definatly make this again!
There is nothing like sweet tea on a hot day! Yum!
This tea is the perfect compliment to any meal. I did use the cold brew family-sized tea bags and a Splenda blend. The tea turned out perfectly. Made for December 2009 Let's P-A-R-T-Y.
This is how my dad would always make it and I love it! He'd set it on the window sill and let it do it's work. Always turned out perfect!
My son-in-law, who was born & raised in the south, said this is really good. Everyone else agreed, this is great sweet tea. When making for myself, 3/4 cup sugar is the perfect amount. Thanks!
I'm a southern girl myself, and this is how I always make my tea. The only exception is sometimes for variety I throw in one or two bags of raspberry black tea. Also, I usually make it by the gallon, because it goes so quickly in my household.
I used 6 small Lipton cold brew tea bags. I added 3/4 cup sugar and it was sweet enough for me. I let mine sit for 30 min. and it tasted great. Hubby loves sweet tea so I know that I will be making this again.
Southern Sweeeet Tea! Now not just available in the south but wherever we live. Thank you for this great addition to our summer line up.
My DH and I enjoyed this on a hot May afternoon. I liked using the clothespin, it made it so easy to get the bags out. Thanks!
my southern hubby's fav tea -- he likes it sweet so i add a little extra sugar-thanks for the great recipe. If i use the lipton cold brew- the tea is ready in about 15 minutes-- takes an hour for regular tea bags--thanks for this great recipe
