This recipe was passed down in my family. Yes, I am truly a Yankee. I was born and raised in Bklyn, NY. However, my roots are from Jackson,TN. Very,very tasty.
- 8-10 pig's feet, washed throughly
- 1 bay leaf
- 177.44 ml white vinegar
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 14.79 ml salt
- 7.39 ml Accent seasoning (optional)
- 14.79 ml black pepper
- Place all ingredients in large dutch oven. Add water to cover pigs feet. Boil until tender. Add more water if necessary. Serve with cornbread.
Finally a Southern style version of pigs feet on the Zaar!! Hope that inspires many more to toss in their southern take on pig's feet recipes.
Not worth trying again. Too much work, not enough meat. Maybe the feet I cooked were from ethiopian pigs.
At first, I was a little skeptical about adding the bell pepper, but I tried it, and they gave the pigs feet a delightful taste. Thanks for the recipe.
