directions

 • Have butter and eggs at room temperature. Use large mixing bowl. Beat butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla. Mash the bananas and add to the mixture. Sift dry ingredients and add to the bowl alternately with the milk. Fold in the chopped nuts.
 • Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 40 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on rack.
 • (My personal favorite frosting that goes well with this cake: Lemon cream cheese frosting).

 1. Nice moist cake. It does taste like banana bread. I haven't tried it with the frosting yet. It isn't super sweet. I omitted the nuts (personal preference).

We own a small ranch located in Napa, California. We used to be considered odd because we grew most of our food and lived frugally. Now we are viewed as trendy- go figure!

Anyway, we raise chickens for meat and eggs, have tons of fruits and vegetables and do it all without using pesticides or chemicals.

We also cook almost everything we eat from scratch. It takes a lot longer, but ours is the house that everyone wants an invitation to dinner at.
