Comes from a community cookbook. This is for all of the buttermilk lovers out there!!!
- cornbread (slice, muffin, stick, fresh or leftover)
- buttermilk (enough to cover cornbread in tall glass)
- Crumble cornbread into a tall glass. Pour buttermilk over cornbread to cover. Stir with spoon or enjoy in bite size hunks!
I have been drinking this for years. Everytime I make cornbread I have to make this. I buy the thick old fashioned buttermilk which makes this the best. We usually sprinkle this with black pepper because that is how my Mom made it for us. Thanks Kelly Lee. Bullwinkle.
