i pressure cooked the sweet potatoes to get them done a little faster. Great recipe!!
One of the best sweet potato dishs I have had. Great for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
This was absolutely outstanding!! A huge hit at our Thanksgiving potluck luncheon at work. I made a few changes as follows: to filling mixture, I added 1 banana, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. I used evaporated skim milk in place of the heavy cream and margarine in place of the butter. I had to cook it longer than the recipe called for (about 45 minutes to 1 hour ) It tasted even better the next day!!! People who did not even know that I brought it were asking me if I had tried it, and begged for the recipe when I told them that it was my dish!! Thank you Sue L for this new Thanksgiving staple in our house.
I cannot believe I forgot to rate this one! I was pulling my recipes together for Thanksgiving dinner this year and realized my mistake. Everyone raved over this last year and I've been reminded at least five times that I need to make it again this year. A great success.
I have to say this is awsome-although I got it originaly from "The Thanksgiving Table" by Diane Morgan. This one's a keeper folks, and will be a mega requested recipe!
