Southern Hot Buttered Rum

"I once read that on cold nights, hot buttered rum is a great drink and positively remedial for folks with colds, influenza, or fatigue or after visits from cousins. Eugene Walters may have hit the nail on the head with that. A large mug (or tankard) of this and an old page worn Mark Twain book can make the buzz and hum of modern day life disappear in minutes. It warms the toes nicely on a cold night. It is a great change to the typical toddy"
