Really enjoyed this recipe. I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs which I cut into bite sized pieces. I also used yams for the potato, and salted to taste, which was less than the recipe called for. Great combination of flavors- thanks for a keeper recipe!

This was truly delicious! Given the instructions, though, I made a few adjustments, and will learn from them next time. I used boneless, skinless chicken pieces (since I don't care for chicken on the bone). Given that the amount of potatoes was not stated, I used 4 medium California white potatoes. The amount of salt was too much, and I would use only a teaspoon next time. I assumed the potatoes would absorb the salt, but I apparently did not use enough potatoes. However, the other spices were perfect. I will definitely be making this again. Made for ZWT6 Zingo.

Used fresh tomatoes and ginger-love fresh ginger. We were satisfied with the sauce amount. I added green beans, no potatoes, but think sweet potato or yam would be very good in this. I see that you originally had this in your Asian cookbook and can understand why. Served over rice. Thank you Elaniemay for sharing. Made for ZWT6 Zingo by an Unruly Under the Influence.

We like this except as already stated, it wasn't quite juicy enough!! Next time, and there will be a next time, I will not add the potato. Made also add a tad more tomato. But the spices were right on! Made for ZWT6 Voracious Vagabonds.

This was a nice basic recipe and was enjoyed by all. I did up the amount of curry powder and used a can of tomatoes instead of fresh. The ginger was fresh grated. For a South African Curry dish what better than some cubed boiled yams. Made and enjoyed for Zingo during *ZWT6*

There's not a lot of sauce with this, but it's a very easy and tasty dish. I wanted to add the potato but DH vetoed it. I served this with rice. I was very impressed by how little work this was. Thanks for posting! Made for ZWT Zingo.

I really loved this! I used six boneless skinless chicken thighs and cut them into bite-sized pieces. The chicken was moist and juicy and the flavor was wonderful. Thanx for sharing; this is a keeper!

Hi, I made this with a few changes, I used a tin of tomatoes and fresh ginger grated very fine and my garlic the same. I did use the potato as I only had one chicken breast and I thought it would go further, and it did. I used madras curry powder as we like it hot, and served it with recipe424415#424415 the two went well together. thank you for posting. MADE FOR zwt#6 2010

I made this almost as directed - only change was to use chicken thighs as it's what I had plus I think it's moister. Served it over steamed rice and it was delicious and filling. We usually like our curry with a little more spice, but that can be easily adjusted to personal preferance. Thanks for posting. Made for Zingo of ZWT6 for the Mischief Makers.

I used ghee for the oil and fresh garlic and ginger as the recipe didn't specify. This was a tasty, easy to do curry which we enjoyed although DH said that he would have prefered it with more sauce so might add some coconut milk next time (although I found it ok as it was). All in all a good, easy curry which I will cook again. Made for ZWT 2010

Elaniemay, this is an excellent recipe. I used fresh garlic and powdered ginger, since you did not specify type. The only change I made was to use two chicken breasts, because there is only two of us. It was delicious! Thank you.
