Oh this was a keeper! Thanks for such a simple recipie! I used wheat beer and it gave the bread a delicious flavor. I agree that the crust was terrific!

This bread is so great! I too didn't pick up any sourdough, but the flavor of the beer comes right through, it is so delicious! We made this to cube it with our five cheese champagne fondue. What did I do with the other half we didn't use? I made Texas Toast with it the next day- absolutely perfect! Just like the Texas Toast my boyfriends grandfather makes! So thankful to have found this recipe!

Made this last night- it's wonderful. Not as sour as a real sourdough, but with much more flavor than a normal white bread. And the crust! The crust was terrific. Crispy, light... I have to go now and make another loaf.
