Mix water, the sourdough start and flour in a non-metallic bowl. Cover loosely. Let stand in warm place until mixture bubbles and has a definite sour aroma (about 24 hours).

Mix sugar, salt and baking soda into sourdough mixture. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make dough easy to handle. Knead dough on well-floured surface. Form and let rise until double in size, covered.
This recipe was missing part of it's instructions. I had already started making it, when I realized this and had to wing it. It was my first time making sourdough bread, so I didn't know what i was doing it. It did not turn out vey well...
