      I wanted to make a sour cream white cake but found I only had a box of yellow cake mix, so this recipe came in handy. I found the flavor to be very buttery and moist. The texture was about half-way between a regular box mix cake and a pound cake. A nice dense texture, but not heavy. I used a Chocolate Butterscotch frosting #89369 that has a coffee flavor kick to jazz it up a bit. My dh loved it, even though he's more of a white cake lover.

      I am late in reviewing this, but let me tell you I make one almost weekly. Yellow cake is my husbands favorite and he takes a piece almost every morning for work. This is a moist easy to prepare cake, sure to please! Its also nice w/o frosting and just some fresh fruit. Great Cake!

      This is a wonderfully moist and has tremdous flavor. I frosted it with Chocoalte Satin Frosting Chocolate Satin Frosting. It was just the most wonderful dessert. I cannot wait to try this with other flavors as well! Thanks so much for sharing this marie.

      I make this using plain fat-free yoghurt as a substitute instead of the sour cream. It tastes great when I spread a chocolate icing layer on it once its done;)
