The revelation here is the salad dressing (including the dill). Substitute whatever vegetables you like. Sometimes I like to include 1/4 cup sliced radishes or to add sweet yellow pepper and carrots sliced paper thin.
- 236.59 ml sliced cucumber
- 236.59 ml sliced tomatoes or 236.59 ml halved cherry tomatoes
- 236.59 ml sliced onion
- 4.92 ml dried dill
- 14.79 ml vinegar
- 14.79 ml horseradish
- 236.59 ml sour cream
- 14.79 ml sugar
- 4.92 ml salt
- Combine vegetables.
- Toss with dill.
- Mix remaining ingredients andtoss with vegetables.
Loved the dressing on this salad. The addition of horseradish & dill made this stellar and a recipe I will make again. I did add the radishes & a green pepper. It even held well overnight.
i have been making a sour cream vegetable salad for over 10yrs now and no one can believe its just sour cream..
The horseradish is a great addition to this salad. I used grape tomatoes in place of cheery tomatoes. I didn't measure, but I don't think I used quite 1 cup of sour cream (reduced-fat). Thanx for posting. This will be a great summer side dish!
