I got this recipe from a friends and make it with a variety of fresh or frozen fruit
- 5 -6 cups raspberries (Have used mixed fruit and blueberries also)
- 1⁄3 cup flour
- 1 1⁄4 cups white sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- Combine fruit, flour, white sugar and sour cream ingredients and put in uncooked pieshell(10").
- Mix Brown sugar, flour and butter ingredients till crumbly then put on top of fruit.
- Bake at 450 for 15 minutes then at 50 minutes till set(frozen berries take longer).
This was a very easy-to-prepare pie that I made with frozen berries, though another time I'd enjoy it when berries are locally at their peak season! Since I've baked a good number of pies in my time, I'm sure that you intended to indicate that, after baking the pie for 15 at 450 degrees F, the heat should be lowered to 350 degrees for the rest (50 minutes) of the baking time! Not a problem for me, & your pie really is great, but then I'm particularly fond of sour cream fruit pies! [Made & reviewed in New Kids on the Block]
