Sour Cream Mustard Dipping Sauce

"I was looking for a dipping sauce for a meat fondue and didn't find any on Zaar that was fast to do with ingredients I got. I found one, that I changed a little bit (just by using green onion instead of onion)"

  • Mix all ingredients and serve. I guess the taste will be better if it's prepared a few hours early and kept in the fridge.

  1. I have used this many times to serve with pigs in a blanket as an appetizer. Everyone loved it! And the best part is it is so easy. Definitely make the night before and chill.

  2. Yours was one of several dip recipes I made to use with chicken fingers, crackers, veggies & cheese, & it was a big hit! I did cut back slightly on the mayo, used honey Dijon mustard, minced the green onion quite fine, & used just a suggestion of a dash (if there is such a thing!) of the hot pepper sauce! And, I, too, let it set up for an hour or so! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in 1-2-3 Hits recipe tag]

  3. I wasn't too sure of the taste of this when I first mixed it up, but after chilling for about 30 minutes, it was really good!!! I might try adding a teensy bit of worcerstershire sauce next time, but still good as is! :) Thanks, Boomie!!

  4. What a great sauce! I put this on grilled cheeseburgers and it was fantastic. It was also very easy to put together. I can't wait to serve this for the holiday barbeque get together. Everyone is going to love this. Thanks Boomette. Made for 123 Hits tag.

  5. I made this tonight to dip our chicken nuggets in it. I'm sure it would be better if it sat for several hours for the flavors to mingle. It wasn't what I thought it would be like. I used spicy brown mustard instead of plain mustard. I also added honey to sweeten it and sprinkled some paprika on it. Was pretty good. Thanks for posting Made for Newest Zaar Tag Jan 2009
