I made this for dinner tonight using Creme Fraiche instead of sour cream and it was so Delicious. Hearty, thick, warm and tasty. What more could one ask? Oh, and I used my immersion blender to smooth the texture out and I would recommend it to others.

I cut this recipe in half to serve just the 2 of us & still had enough of this GREAT TASTING SOUP for a slightly smaller 2nd serving! With the combo of basil, Italian seasoning & the bay leaf, this is definitely a huge cut above the usual can of tomato soup & the recipe is a real keeper ~ Thanks for posting it!
