This is a simple and easy way to make sour cream if you have some powdered milk on hand and you are out of sour cream.

Directions

  1. Combine milk and water (stirring till smooth).
  2. Add vinegar and beat till thick.
  3. You may need to add a drop or two more vinegar till milk curdles.
  4. Use to take the place of store bought sour cream.

I don't know if I did something wrong beating this or what but it just did not turn out. I had to add a whole lot more vinegar before any kind of thickening happened and the result was a vinegary tasting milk. Sorry but this just did not work for me.
