I was looking for a coffee cake recipe to bring to a friend's get-together, and I stumbled upon this one. I'm glad I did! It was very easy to make, and the result was a nicely moist and flavorful confection. Of the 3 cakes sitting on the table, this one was the most eaten. I am saving it, and it will be my go-to recipe whenever I need to make a coffee cake.
Being a Pastry Chef, I always look for new ideas. This recipe is excellent!! I have made it umpteen times, even brought it to work. My Boss keeps asking when I will bring more of it! Have made it into loaves as well as individual small cakes, all turned out real well. Thank you Indynana for sharing this, it's a real keeper!
Great recipe! Nice light & fluffy. I baked as two loaves for breakfast & skipped the topping. Baked for 45 min at 375 in the convection.
