Wonderful, wonderful cake!! It was so light AND moist!
I had some bananas that were too ripe to eat so decided to give this a try. Brought it to work and it was gobbled right up. Even the people who do not like "banana breads" loved it. I used Heath baking chips because it was all I had but it was still really good. Next time I will use chocolate covered bars and more butter...but it was perfect the way it was. Thank you for another great recipe!!
Very easy took it to work and it was gone within an hour and everyone loved it.
Added nuts the second time around to the topping and it worked great. This is my new favorite.
This cake is perfect! I didn't change a thing and it came out beautiful. The only problem is it isn't going to last long once my children get ahold of it. Thank you for another great recipe.
I took this to my hubby's Great-Aunt's 93rd birthday party tonight. The cake was loved by all! The banana flavor is just right and the cake is so moist. Next time I will double the Heath crumb topping. Thanks for an aweseome cake recipe, Kit!
This is one of those recipes I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! The cake is a delicious, light white cake with just a hint of banana. The crunch of the topping is a nice contrast in texture & the extra flavour is a great bonus. I used 2 Skor bars (per the package - buttery toffee crunch enrobed in rich milk chocolate) instead of Crispy Crunch bars (Crispy Crunch is more of a peanut butter flavour.)
This cake is just awesome. It made a very large cake, and it's all gone already!! My husband likes it topped with applesauce. I used one Crispy Crunch bar, but would probably use 2 next time as we loved the topping. A very moist delicious cake with easy to follow, well written directions. Thanks for a winner Kitten!
