This is a traditional Indian drink meant for the hot summer months.Though there will be a slight change in flavor you can substitute sugar for jaggery if you cant find the latter. Happy sipping!

What a refreshing beverage! I absolutely love the pepper, ginger & cardamom combination. This was a totally new flavor for me & I'm really glad I tried it. I'll definitely make it again when the weather warms. I cut the recipe in half (as I knew the rest of my family wouldn't drink it) and used superfine/baker's sugar in place of the jaggery, which I'd like to try sometime. The real sugar made the drink a little too sweet, so next time I'll just cut it back a bit. A nice, spicy lemonade. Delish! Thanks for sharing, Nabiha.   1. Stir the grated jaggery into the water until it has dissolved.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and stir well.
  3. Strain out the liquid through a fine sieve (optional).
  4. Serve chilled.
