Perfect recipe that I used for Recipe #457277.
Assembling the ingredients worked very well and the quanties worked for a 10 inch pie/tart crust.
I used a silicon map for rolling out and trasfer to the pie mold. This makes the work much easier and you will not need to pie a ready pie crust!
Thanks a lot for this recipe!

Ingredients Nutrition

 • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
 • 12 teaspoon salt (optional)
 • 12 cup butter, cut into small pieces
 • 1 egg yolk
 • 3 tablespoons ice water

Directions

 1. Sift the flour with the salt into a bowl.
 2. With a pastry blender or the fingertips, blend the butter into the flour and salt mixture. Stir in the egg yolk and water.
 3. Form the pastry into a ball. Wrap it in wax paper and chill for two hours. Knead the pastry for one minute or until it holds together.
 4. Roll on lightly floured board and fit the pastry into 9" pie plate. You will have enough to use for stripping or ad added strip around the edge.
