This mkhali recipe is traditional Georgian.
- 3 medium onions, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb mushroom, cleaned and quartered
- 1⁄2 cup mushroom stock
- 1 1⁄4 cups walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- Fry the onions in the butter.
- Add teh mushrooms and stock and simmer until the mushrooms are just cooked.
- Stir in the walnuts and the cilantro and season to taste.
