  1. I had a hard time with these bars...stayed very wet and I had to rebake. I used a 9x9 pan. They do have wonderful flavor, much like a molasses cookie or ginger snap. I'll try them again in a larger pan.

  2. These were sooo good. The amount of spices was perfect and the bars were the perfect accompaniment to our tea yesterday. I'm so glad I just bought that size pan because I'm pretty sure the size of the pan for this recipe is absolutely key. Thank you.

  3. These were great. I made them with Splenda. Next time I'll use a little extra Splenda and a little extra salt. I should mention the dough was very thick. A 9 X 9 baking dish worked best for me. Also, the baking temperature was 375 degrees.

  4. Excellent! I overbaked by 5 min because I didn't hear my timer, but they were still soft. I used blackstrap molasses, and it may have overpowered my spices a bit, so next time I will add a pinch more of each. This was extremely quick and easy and definitly one that will be baked often. Thanks for a great recipe!

  5. These taste just like a Soft Molasses Cookie I make only they take no time at all! They are great cut into strips and dunked in milk. The only change I made to the recipe is I generously sprinkled them with suger instead of just the 2 Tbl. And be sure not to over bake them so they stay soft and chewy!:o)
