I'm 11 and I made these everyone said they were amazing, normally I don't like my cooking, but these were amazing! They stayed soft and tasted wonderful! Made about 48, but they were all gone at the end of night 2! Now my new favorite cookie recipe!

These cookies are amazing! They're so soft but yet crunchy on the outside, which is exactly how I like my cookies.

A few notes, I, too, added vanilla to the creamed butter mixture along with the contents of a vanilla bean. I also needed more of the sugar/cinnamon mixture that you roll the balls in at the end.

I will definitely make these again. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Yep! These are Snickerdoodles. The recipe is perfect and make a nice bunch of my daughter's favorite cookies for her college care package. Using a chilled cookie sheet and chilled dough is excellent and works fabulously!

I lost my snickerdoodle recipe, tried another and it was miserable...came here, which I should have anyway since I get so many good recipes from this site. I think these are better than the recipe I lost! Soooo delicious!

AMAZING recipe. What I chose to do was to put the sticks of butter (2) in the microwave for about 20 seconds to soften them, this helped them mix easier. I mixed the ingredients using a KitchenAid mixer with the whisk attachment. I used a tablespoon measuring scoop to portion my cookies. I scooped them, rolled them in a ball, and them rolled them in a plate that had the cinnamon sugar mixture and then flattened them a bit, very delicately, so they would be better shaped. Baked for exactly ten minutes and perfection! Using the tablespoon measuring scoop yielded about 45-50 cookies. All delicious!
If you want very light tasting cookies and have the KitchenAid mixer, mix the butter, eggs, and sugar for about five minutes. Doing this adds air and makes it almost whipped. It tastes delicious and moist!

These are easy to make...so easy in fact, my 11 yr old son made them without any help today. He baked them perfectly so they were soft & chewy...yummy! However, I do agree that they might taste a bit better with a little vanilla added to the dough. The butter came through a bit much for my taste.

Loved them. I wasn't sure if they were going to come out thin or poofy. But they were just in the middle, not too cakey but they baked out soft and light. Awesome flavor.

I have never been a fan of crunchy snickerdoodle cookies, so when I saw that this recipe produced a soft version I thought I would give it a try. SOOOOO YUMMY. I followed the recipe exactly, taking care to make the dough into small 1" balls. The cookies turned out perfectly. Thank you for such a terrific recipe.

One of the best cookies ever! I made these for an event at my child's school and got rave reviews! Great texture, and love the soft, chewy inside! The only bad thing is that they're dangerously addictive and it's hard not to eat too many at once!
