Soft Oatmeal Cookies

"A friend gave me this recipe a long time ago. It is one of our favorites in fact on this gloomy day I am about to make them. Husbands request."

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups butter
• 1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
• 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
• 3 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
• 3⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 cup milk
• 1 pinch clove
• 3 cups oatmeal

directions

1. Cream and mix butter add sugars and eggs . Mix spices into flour and add alternately with milk and oatmeal. You can add raisins, nuts, or whatever to this recipe. Grease cookie sheet and drop cookies. The amount of cookies will be determined by how large a peice of dough you drop. Bake 350 for 10-15 minutes.
