This recipe is from Martha Stewart Kids magazine. It is supposed to be used for topping the petit fours in Baby's First Applesauce Cake and Petit Fours (we cut ours into flower shapes), but I sure this would also make a nice snack for a baby or toddler.

  1. Peel apples and cut into 1/4" thick rounds.
  2. Simmer 2 inches of water in a medium pan. Working in batches, submerge apple slices for 40 seconds.
  3. Transfer to paper towels with a slotted spoon; let cool.
