You won't believe this candy!! Made with plain ole soda crackers (saltines)!! Quick and easy!

Directions

  1. Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil spray.
  2. Place crackers in a single layer, (4 wide x5 deep), close together.
  3. Put butter and brown sugar in sauce pan and bring to boil.
  4. Boil for 3 minutes.
  5. Pour sugar mixture over crackers and spread evenly.
  6. Place in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Scoop toffee that has boiled off crackers back on crackers so that crackers are completely covered.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over mixture. Spread chocolate to cover toffee as it melts.
  9. Sprinkle with nuts.
  10. Cut into squares while still warm.
  11. Number of servings depending on cut size of candy.

I've been making this for a few years now, and I have to hide it when I make it. My husband and sons gobble it up. It's so addicting! I can't imagine giving it less than 5 stars, but then again we do love our sweets around here... Thanks for sharing!

Awesome- had this @ a party yesterday. I make "real" toffee and this is just as yummy as mine !

I've been making these for years. I use 42 Club crackers instead of the saltines, they fit perfectly on a 15x10 pan. Using Almonds they taste like Almond Roca. I cool in refrigerator 2 hours and break into pieces instead of cutting them.
