Living in Alaska gives us a great benefit to saving money on ice cream in the winter! lol This was wonderful, everyone loved it and the possibilities are endless.

I wasnt so sure this would work with our snow this winter, really dry ice crystals really. I double the recipe but cut back the sugar (last thing daycare kids need is more sugar right!). It was so neat, it came together so fast. I gave the kids the chocolate syrup and some mini m & m's and let them make it how they wanted to. I sent the recipe to our office for the news letter for other providers to try. Awesome recipe and with our winters we will be trying it again before long. Thanks.

I live in Massachusetts and no surprise we get TONS of snow that can sometimes make you go STIRCRAZY when your trapped insde for days because of it. But this always makes it a little more fun when you hear snow in the forecast. Everyone know that it takes about 2 hours for the snow to clean the impurities from the atmosphere so wait until it snows for 2 hours and then only use the snow for your ice cream that has fallen after this time and you'll have no worries about the quality of the snow your eating. ENJOY!!

My mother would always make snow cream with sweetened condensed milk instead of the cream and sugar...mmmmmmmm!

It only snowed once in my childhood (I grew up in Southern CA), and my mother, a nurse, wouldn't let us eat it, but she shredded some ice in the blender and let us make "snow" cream. It works just as well, and there are no worries about pollution (which is in snow everywhere in the world at this point, to some extent or another).

I love snow ice cream. I use a little less sugar. Try substituting canned coconut milk for the cream, YUM!

This has ALWAYS been my favorite thing to make when it snows. I can remember my Emaw making this for me when I was little (the few times it snowed in Texas :) ) Thanks so much for sharing! I can not wait for it to snow again!
