I use this recipe but the only change I make is to boil the water and sugar to make a simple syrup. The sugar is guaranteed to dissolve. I use a 2 cup measuring cup, measure my water and then add the sugar. After mixing, I can store the syrup in the measuring cup with plastic wrap on top. It really is delicious. Thanks for posting this recipe, Kim D.
YAY! My kids love snow cones and we ran out of syrup on a Sunday afternoon. I told them I would put it on the list for when we went to town but thought it would be hard to find because it was out of season. Then I thought about good ol' Recipezaar and Voila!! So. much. better! and proximately 12 times cheaper!
I will NEVER buy snow cone syrup from a store again! This tastes soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better! Thank you!
Awesome and quick! My pkg of KoolAid called for 1/2 recipe. I used real snow! Can you believe it?! I hate it when it snows, and we got 12 inches today...so I made Strawberry Real Snow Cones! Thanks for the great recipe!
Kids like it. Used dontfencemein;s suggestion and used cherry for homemade grenadine. The kids like it better than the $5 bottle name brand stuff. Thanks for sharing.
just made this up and wow! I was actually looking for a cherry grenadine type syrup, but didn't have any pomegranates. Wanted to make my own cherry pop drink like a Shirley Temple. This worked great. Thanks for posting! Updated to say that this also works great on real snow. Having some with the kids this morning!
Easy, quick, tasty. This is a great recipe. My kids love it.
Thank you! The whole family loves this. I made black cherry for our first flavor, and I can't stop eating snow cones! LOL I ended up using 2 packets of kool-aid, but that just seemed to make the flavor stronger.
This is great.. Two thums up.... It's cheap... Tasty and Fun... I am on a diet so I also tried it with splenda.. And the kids couldn't taste the difference....
before i though we drink the syrup alone look for nie dream cone that's from me =D ok the syrup's yummy!!
