This is from a church cookbook from Merrill, Wisconsin.
- 5-6 large apples
- 6 large Snickers candy bars
- 226.79 g cream cheese
- 340.19 g Cool Whip
- 283.49 g jar caramel topping
- Cut up the apples and the candy bars into small chunks.
- Mix in cream cheese and caramel topping.
- Fold in the cool whip.
Our family likes this recipie the best of all of the snicker salads that we have tried. I think the caramel is the key to the flavor, compared with pudding in other recipies.
This was yummy! When I read the recipe I thought it would be too sweet, but it wasn't. I cut the snickers & apples small, but once I was eating it, I realized the snickers still needed to be a bit smaller. I might try a chopper next time. It sometimes had a bit of a carmel apple taste! I also will try putting it in the freezer to see how that would be. Thanks!
