  1. The chili sauce required in this recipe is the type they sell next to the ketchup and cocktail sauce (I like the Heinz brand), and it isn't spicy hot. I've been making this same fabulous recipe for over 30 years, and it is simply wonderful. Everyone loves it!

  2. These were good, but way too spicey. I may try again with less chili sauce.

I have lived in Michigan all of my life. I'm retired and enjoying it immensely. I enjoy gardening, sewing and cooking although I'm not very good at any of them. My favorite cookbooks are Pillsbury Complete Cookbook and Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook. I love to collect old cookbooks, too. Politics is my passion. Pet peeves--I can't think of any right now, but I've certainly had them! I have 3 grandchildren; all of them close by, fortunately! As of this year they are 16, 12, and 5 yrs. old. That's CORKY, my Shih Tzu. He's called Corky because he has a corkscrew tail! The picture on my icon is my mixed Maine Coon cat, Missy, who came from my Vet (because the owner was going to have her put to sleep). I guess that's one of my BIG pet peeves (no pun intented): that owners of animals put them down for no good reason. I wish people would think long and hard before they get an animal!!!
