    Heather'sKitchen's Note:

My husband loves Snapple peach tea but prefers me to make this recipe because it containes *no high fructose corn syrup*. It's a sweet tea but the sugar can be altered to individual taste. I posted the recipe as Todd Wilbur wrote it but I added my DH's preferences at the end of the directions(so I wouldn't lose them and have to experiment again!).

    1. 1
Bring water to a rapid boil in a large saucepan.
    2. 2
Turn off heat, add tea bags, cover saucepan and let the tea steep for 1 to 2 hours.
    3. 3
Pour the sugar into a 2 quart pitcher, and then add the tea. The water will still be warm and the sugar should dissolve easily.
    4. 4
Add the lemon juice and the peach syrup.
    5. 5
      Stir, cover and chill.

DH prefers this made with 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup Torani peach syrup.

I ordered several different Torani syrups to make these flavored teas with. So far, I've tried Peach and Strawberry, both with lots of lemon... deeeee-licious! I'm going to try the sugar-free syrups next time I order. Love these teas!

I've made this twice now. Once with lemon juice and once without. We liked it better without the lemon juice. Used 1/4 cup of splenda and 1/4 cup of SF raspberry syrup as I couldn't find the peach syrup. Thanks for posting this Heather. Made for Comfort Cafe - Winter 2010.

Really good tea! As the other TSR Snapple clones use 3 tea bags, I used a family sized tea bag, which is about 3, and otherwise followed the recipe, with the exception of using Splenda instead of sugar. I'm going to have to make a run to CostPlus, as that's the only place around here that carries Torani, and I want to try this with other flavors. Don't be scared of the long steep time... that's what gives it that edge that Snapple has to it.
