In memory of RBT, love the 'Swed'. Mushrooms would be a nice addition, if so desired. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or broad noodles
- Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, and water together. Shape into 4 patties. Brown on one side, turn, add onion and brown lightly. Add gravy, cover and simmer about 35 minutes.
This certainly is comfort food. I made this last week and am making it again tonight. Love it. great with mashed potatoes and mean chef mushroom gravy. Thank You Leezah4
Hubby & I made this recipe for dinner tonight and it came out fantastic!! Very moist & flavorful hamburger steaks,the gravy as well tasted great!! nice and oniony plus we added garlic to both hamburg and gravy so ours was oniony and garlicky,we added fresh chopped parsley last five mis to add beauty and fresh flavor.we also used fresh chopped mushrooms & canned beef broth instead of water. We served it with mashed potatoes & green beans and we really enjoyed it tremendously!! Thanx for posting such simple but very tasty & satisfying way to do hamburg!! YUMMMYYYYY Deb :)
