This recipe was passed down from Grandma. Very tasty, distinct, and addicting flavor.
- 2 lbs stew meat
- 1 (2 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
- 2 (14 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms
- 1⁄2 cup sherry wine
- Mix all but meat, pour over meat and bake at 350°F for 2 1/2- 3 hours or in crock pot all day.
- Serve over rice, egg noodles, or my favorite--mashed potatoes.
