Very good marinade for lamb kebabs. DO NOT OVERCOOK
- 3 lbs lamb, cubed
- 2 -3 green peppers
- 2 -3 sweet red peppers
- 2 -3 onions
- 3⁄4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mint
- 1 pinch allspice
- Combine marinade ingredients and marinate lamb cubes overnight.
- Cut peppers and onions into slices the same size as the lamb cubes.
- Arrange on skewers, alternating peppers, lamb, and onion.
- Using charcoal briquettes and hard wood, grill over direct heat for 30 to 45 minutes, turning 4 times.
- DO NOT OVERCOOK.
Fabulous!! Loved the flavor of the lamb. I used a green and orange pepper and a red onion to give a bunch of color. I used a gas grill and they only took about 15-20 minutes to cook. Thanks Charlotte! Made for the Babes of ZWT4.
What is not to love about this recipe. Succulent lamb marinaded with mint, soy & spices Mmm- Our weather was not for BBQing so I broiled them for 25 minutes turning them so all sides browned. Served with new carrots, green beans & rice Lovely dinner - Thanks Charlotte for posting
